Semi Finals Recaps

 

Barely Legal 110  Select Hoops 88-

 

In our first of 2 Gold Bracket, Semi Finals. Barely Legal asserted their dominance early, and never looked back. The victors jumped out to a 12-0 lead and kept the pedal to the medal from start to finish. They put all 6 of their players in double figures led by Greg McCarthy and Joe McCabe who scored 24 points each. Rich Morantis and Scott Arsenault added 17 apiece. Their offensive onslaught overshadowed a great performance by Brad Lucke who connected on 9 three pointers en route to a game high 29 points for Select Hoops in defeat.

 

IceMen 72  Team OFF 64-

 

In a game that was much more low scoring than one may have predicted, the IceMen used great team defense to defeat Team OFF in the other Semi Final 72-64. Kyle Gibson led the way for the IceMen with 27 points in the win. Rocky DeAndrade tallied 18 points in the loss. IceMen's victory sets up another opportunity to topple league heavyweight Barely Legal. 

 

Attleboro 55 Bellingham 43-

 

In a battle of two strong Bronze Bracket teams, Attleboro advanced to the finals with a 55-43 victory last night in the first semi final Bronze Bracket game. They used a balanced attack that was led by Conor Larkin's 13 points. KP Morgan and Nick Millis also added 12 each. For Bellingham Erik Ingersoll scored a game high 17 points in the loss.

 

Calves 64 Bomb Squad 61-

 

The Calves were taken to the limit last night, but thanks to a Matt McHugh 3 pointer at the buzzer, they will be dancing on to the Bronze Bracket Final on the strength of a 3 point victory. This game was intense from start to finish, and the Bomb Squad, despite being underdogs were clearly up for the challenge. Jimmy McGrath led the way for the Calves with 16 points in the win, while Alex Collins tallied a game high 19 points in the loss for the Bomb Sqaud.
